song of controversy : Diljit Dosanjh gets notice for glorifying drugs and violence
The Telangana government has issued a notice to popular Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, restricting him from performing any songs that promote drugs, alcohol, and violence during his Dil-Luminati concert , which is slated for 15 November, 2024 in Hyderabad. Diljit's concert in Hyderabad was indeed a part of his Dil- Luminati tour which spanned across 10 cities of India.
The notice also prohibits exposing childrens on stage during his live performance. Additionally , the Telangana government has expressed concerns about the potential harm of loud sound and flashing lights on childrens. According to WHO, exposure to sounds above 140 decibels can harm adults, while childrens should not be exposed to sound above 120 decibels. Therefore, the notice instructs Diljit from involving childrens on stage , especially since the concert guidelines permit entry for children under 13. The notice was prompted after a complaint was filled by Panditrao Dharenavar, from Chandigarh, who provided a video evidence of Diljit's past explicting performance at various concerts ,to the authorities , showcasing the harmful impact of his objectional songs among the youngsters , including recent Dil - Luminati concert at New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on October 26 and 27 and Jaipur , as well as on the other international shows. According to the notice issued by district welfare officer of the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens, Rangareddy district, the government has outlined some specific guidelines for Diljit's' Dil - Luminant concert'. The notice specifically instructs Diljit to avoid songs like 'Patiala Peg' which has been identified as promoting substance like drugs and alcohol.
Meanwhile, as per the latest report, Diljit Dosanjh after landing on Hyderabad has posted some pictures on his social media account , which depicts his visit to the historical place of Hyderabad, that is Charminar and also he offered prayers in different temples as well as in the Gurudwara of the City. Diljit also confirms that his Dil - Luminati tour will continue across different cities of India to entertain fans, with its upcoming shows scheduled in cities Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune.
And also the sources reveal, that the renowned Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh who already worked on several films will be seen in a lead role in movie 'Border 2'.
